So proud!

I just had to share that Zachary made TWO baskets during his basketball game today! I am so proud of him! I even got teary-eyed watching him play! (: He really seems to be enjoying it and you could just see the confidence on his face after he scored. It was at the very end of the game and he was the only one on the team who hadn't scored but then he finally made it! On the first shot, the ball was passed to him and then he made the basket. For the second one, he caught the rebound and shot it. It was so cute. The whole team did great. They have made alot of progress since last week. They are definitely starting to figure this thing out!

We are doing this through Upward and I am pretty impressed with the organization. I like that it's Christian based and the kids are learning in a spiritual environment. I also like how they don't take score and encourage every member of the team to just do their best. It's hard not to count the baskets though. I am pretty sure Zach's team won today, but I didn't say anything to him because he doesn't even ask if he won or not. Scoring never even comes up with him. I like that he is just playing to have fun and focusing on improving his game, not worrying about winning or losing.

I think this will be a really good experience for him. I hope he learns alot and has fun doing it!
