Memories and good friends

Today was another busy day. This morning we went to a reunion for Righteous Mission "alumni", a youth mission camp I attended in high school. I went for four years, '92-'95. It was fun seeing people I hadn't seen in many years and also to be back at my old church. Righteous Mission is a week long camp where high school and college kids go out into the community and help people in need doing all kinds of home improvement jobs like painting, building decks and wheelchair ramps, roofing, even housecleaning if that is what was needed. Those are just some of the things we did. I am not sure what they have done recently but it sounds like it is still making a great impact in the community. I remember the gratitude people had for what we did as well as surprise that teenagers would take a week of their summer, unpaid, to do manual labor for them! LOL! It was a great opportunity to witness to people and to share God's love and just overall, be a blessing to others. I learned alot from it and have many great memories from my experience with Righteous Mission.

After the reunion, we went home for naps and then went to see our friends Grace and Adam's new house! It is a very nice place with a great yard with mature trees and many neat features to the house. Both Chris and I really liked it. We had fun eating pizza and talking about all the plans they have for the house. We are really excited for them.

So again, it was another late night and I am so exhausted but it was fun spending time with old friends and remembering all the special times together (Grace and I actually went to Righteous Mission together too so we have even more memories together)!! God has blessed me with great memories and even better friends! (:

Verse of the Day: Philippians 1:3- "I thank my God upon every remembrance of you".
