Musical Monday- At Your Feet

Wow, I just realized I haven't done a Musical Monday in almost 7 months! Well, I've had this song in my head to do a post about for a while now. It is called At Your Feet by Casting Crowns. It is from their newest album, Until the Whole World Hears. I love the title track too, but when I heard At Your Feet for the first time, it really touched my heart. I can't listen to it without crying. It is such a precious song of laying down our lives, burdens and dreams at the feet of Jesus. It is so relevant to me right now, knowing this is exactly what I need to do with the things in my life. All my life I've tried to do things my way and it only makes me frustrated and overwhelmed. If I would only give it all to Him, I would find the peace I am so desperately seeking. It is not easy to do and God knows that. He knows giving up control is one of my greatest weaknesses. And *I* know that I will not find true happiness or rest until I do. But He is so faithful! If I give all control to Him, He will not let me down. He will be all I need. What a blessing to release that burden to Him! I don't need to do it all on my own. God wants us to give it to Him. Not that our responsibility is gone, but what is gone is the pressure, the emotion, the stress, the heartache. All that is left is peace. That is my prayer for my life and for yours. Consider with me letting God have control of your life. You will never regret it.
