Summer "to do" list

Now that things are settling down around here- only one more big event, the kids' birthday party- I have been thinking about things I want to get done this summer. Lately it seems like I am just running around the house all day doing bits and pieces of various "projects" and not really accomplishing a whole lot. I love making lists and schedules and find that it really does help me, for motivation if anything. I never complete everything on my lists- I make one for everyday tasks and activities in my calendar book- but it helps me break things up and not get too overwhelmed.

Here's some of the things that are on my mind and I really want to do. I broke it down into household, school, kids and family, and personal. I will probably add things as I go. I will also cross it off when I get it done (love that part!).

Household:
  • put rest of kids' summer clothes and leftover garage sale items on Craigslist or Ebay
  • clean up basement
  • make meal planner- planning sheet for three meals and three snacks a day
School:
  • make file folders for next year's first month of topics
  • finish daily schedule (although I am sure this will change after a few weeks of school, it's good to have an initial plan)
  • finish planning for first month of school
Kids and Family:
  • go to the zoo
  • go to the wave pool/water park
  • visit family/playdates with friends
  • vacation to Florida
Personal:
  • Figure out a schedule for meal planning, housework and exercising
  • Read 3 books from reading list

  1. Great job, Leslie! I need to do this. I've got too many of these things floating around in my mind. On a side note, I'm enjoying your increased blog flow. :-)
